Gemming at Level 65
2010-03-03
Flippu wrote:Lately, i've been getting gear with Gem Slots on them and most of the gear I have are usually better than these without the slots.
I don't do much PvP and mostly quest and leveling. I think that my gear is on par with my level currently. Is gemming then a waste of $$GOLD if you are going to replace it all at level 70 anyway?
Should I just keep the better NON-SLot items and sell the slotted ones and keep the gold?
Here is my armory Here

Just my opinion and others may be able to answer this better but I will say save the gold. I spent (wasted) a whole lot getting gems for various items I had received. I even made sure not to be cheap and got the gems with the higher stats. Put them on the piece, equipped it, and found that often I had ...
WoW: Upcoming Class Changes Parts 2-3
2010-02-24
The second and third parts of the Upcoming Class Changes articles for World of Warcraft have been published on the official forums. We covered Part 1 earlier in the week and now present the final two chapters in the class change saga.
Part 2:

WARLOCK
# Improved Shadow Bolt - this talent now provides a 5% spell critical strike buff (similar to Improved Scorch).
# Improved Soul Leech - this talent now provides Replenishment (similar to shadow priests)
# Drain Soul now has a chance to produce Soul Shards even if the target doesn't die.
# Siphon Life no longer as an active ability but the talent grants the old Siphon Life effect to Corruption.
# Curse of Recklessness and Curse of Weakness have been combined into one spell
# Consume Shadows - this Voidwalker ability is no longer channeled but has a cooldown.
# Several other warlock talents have had their ranks reduced, their effects changed or removed. This list includes but is not limited to Demonic Empathy, Shadow Embrace, Eradication, Suppression, and Pandemic.
# Additional new talents have been added.

DRUID
# Savage Defense - this is a new passive ability. When a druid in Dire Bear form deals a melee critical strike, the druid gains a damage shield equal to 25% of their attack power. The next hit completely removes the shield regardless of how much damage was done.
# Survival of the Fittest has had its bonus armor reduced to compensate for the above increase in damage mitigation.
# Faerie Fire (and similar debuffs) now reduces armor by 5%. See Sunder Armor in the warrior update below for additional details.
# Thorns and Nature's Grasp can be cast in Tree of Life form.
# Survival Instincts now works in Moonkin form.
# Replenish - to avoid confusion, this talent has been renamed "Revitalize." It now also works with Wild Growth.
# We are also looking at increasing the sustained (not burst) damage of feral druids in cat form.

WARRIOR
# Changing stances now has a much reduced cost: you lose a maximum of 20 rage (10 with Tactical...

Survival kit's a Ounce of Prevention is Worth a Pound of Cure
2009-08-13
A ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. This is a very good saying to live by Every day. But especially In today economic state. With companies going under and governments all around the world failing. It might be a good Idea to prepare yourself for the worst with a well built survival kit just in case the worst really does happen. I know that this might sound extreme, and no one wants the worst to happen but once again a ounce of prevention is worth a pound you cure. There are many things that go into a well built  survival kit. Some of the obvious things are none perishable foods, bottled water. For the reason of you will want to be able to eat and drink if things get to the point that food is hard to come by. I would at least try to get two or three months of food and water storage for my kit. It is better to have it and not need it that to need it and not have it. Other things that you might want to include are toothpaste and tooth Brush. Along with other hygiene related objec...
Buying WOW Gold with Inscription
2009-08-13
There is no doubt that you get to know what a profession if you play World of Warcraft and you should be familiar with Inscription profession if you've played since the debut of Wrath of the Lich King. Just in case you're not, we'll give a brief overview. Characters can learn professions to either gather materials like metal ore, herbs or animal skins, or use those materials to craft useful items like weapons, armor and potions. Aside from First Aid, Fishing and Cooking, each character can learn two main professions. For many people, the end goal in selecting professions is to use them to buy wow gold. If that is what you want to do, Inscription is a very good choice, please follow it.
Inscription is a crafting profession, allowing you to make glyphs, scrolls, tarot cards and some other useful items. As a new mechanic released with Wrath of the Lich King, glyphs are character enhancements that give you specific buffs based on your class. If you are a Shaman, for example, you can get glyphs to improve the damage done by your Lightning Bolt or Lightning Shield orbs, or if you are a Death Knight, you can get glyphs to increase the damage of your diseases or the runic power that certain abilities create. ...

Therenody wrote:Why is Blizzard trying to balae thelasses around sh a tiny part of the game? So basally what you're saying is: Balae alllasses with World PvP in mind, and forget about Arena. If Blizzard does this then surely somelasses will (almost)ompletely dissapear from Arena's. In my opinion balaing based on Arena is one of the best methods. As PvPArena will always be the part of the game where you will feel your strenghts and weaknesses the most. I think PvE isn't that tohy when itomes to nerfs or buffs, I mean has there ever been alass thatouldn'tompete in PvE bause of a nerf?.

2009-05-09
Of all thelasses that shine in PvP, Shamans and warriors are by far the worst at one-on-one pvp eounters, but two of the best in group pvp. Shaman doesn't *need*C, but it is really annoying that the mage next to youanC and out dps you at the same time, with less mana, and has a trainable mana regen ability, root, immunity (talent), and a pet usable in arenas (talent), and some ridulously strong aoe. Irritating, but not nessary.

2009-05-09
My apologies for misslassing you, 46 Hunter it is. You speak of the warriors stun abilities being non gamehanging. Well no it isnt, andan be overome. However, this gives them time for 1. Unmolested dmg 2. Bandaging 3. Eape. Options where Shaman have none. It is true that we are hybrid and should not be OP'd in any of the three areas of our abilities at base form. Yes a well skilled playeran and will beat an unskilled player from anylass. HOWEVER, what the OP is speaking of is putting us on lvl with all otherlasses. Everylass has ahae, with skill and timing...
